Canvas Progress

I'm making some progress on the canvas I started yesterday. Coming tomorrow... wonky cottages and trees! That is if I'm not totally exhausted after dealing with the truck delivery... welcome SUMMER!
Time to get some rest... g~night!

Well Tuesday is turning out better....

Monday was the pits... I woke up at 5 AM... guess what time I am supposed to be at work... YEP 5 AM! So I was 30 minutes late to work! UGH! That always puts me in a very irritable mood so I promised them I'd be on time today AND be in a better mood.

I've started a mixed media canvas to keep. I always give my items away and decided it was time for me to keep a few. This canvas will have houses on it eventually. Right now it is just the first layer. I will be working some more on the back ground when I get home from work.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

MY Beautiful Niece got married

Yesterday we attended our niece, Gwen's wedding to her lovely partner. It was a sunny day but OH SO CHILLY! Everything was so beautiful and the gals looked so happy.

Ah Wednesdays!

It is a love hate relationship I have with Wednesdays. Having to be up at 1:30 AM so I can be awake enough to be on the road by 2:30 so I can be to work at 3 AM is kinda the pits. But then I get to come home and nap and most Wednesdays if we don't have leftovers to eat we will go out for a dinner ; I am too exhausted to cook. Tonight we had left over Chicken Pot Pie and Scott has done the dishes and that makes me happy.

I am having a very emotional week - this midlife stuff is for the birds! Being on the verge of tears over the littlest thing really stinks and it is stupid stuff that brings tears to my eyes. Makes me just want to become a Hermit in the woods. Poor Scott has been catching the worst of it and I feel bad about that as he is so wonderful to me. UGH!  Scott.... Thank you for putting up with your cranky, weepy, mean old wife.

A new week

Red Bud - UP CLOSE
Dandelions!
Here it is the start of another week and I am finding myself thinking about how wonderful it would be to just stay at home and busy myself around the house and yard once more. I mean seriously... wouldn't you want to be at home in the mornings as the sun is coming up just so you could walk the yard and see what is in bloom and hear the Earth come to life....

Jury Duty

Monday morning I went out to Lexington for a General Sessions Jury Pool and was sat on the jury. We started hearing the case on Monday after we had lunch and were there until nearly 5. We were back in the Court room on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 to 6 PM. LONG days for me! Deliberation on Wednesday went for 5 1/2 hours... I was so happy when the 12 of us could finally come to an agreement and we could get out of there. I hate sitting around that much.

I had worked on Sunday just to get a few work hours in and then I got a few hours yesterday to make a little money. I know I'll be paid by the Court but don't have a clue as to how much that will be, so I wanted to be able to earn a little at my job if I could. We still have bills to be paid after all and who knows when I will get that check from the Court... it all moves REALLY slow.

My parents were down for a visit yesterday and I went with them over to the Goodwill Clearance store to dig through the bins for clothes for my nieces and nephews to wear around the barn. I found a few things for myself a nice top that is black with brown butterflies, a cookbook of healthy recipes for the 90's (for Greg), a couple metal tins and a plastic tote organizer... I spent $1.54 on ALL of it.  WOO HOO BIG SPENDER!

We don't really have anything planned for this weekend but we will be preparing for our yearly trip to Charlotte, NC and our nieces wedding so I will have more to write about soon enough. Take care.

2:15 AM - 68*F - SPRING!!!

It's all ready warm for the day - high today is going to be somewhere around 85*F. Looks like our Spring will be VERY short this year. Scott and I need to get the garden cleaned up and planted this weekend. Our garlic harvest isn't going to be as good as years past as it didn't get cold enough for it this year. We still have a lot from last year that we need to use up so we will still have plenty.

It's truck day today and I'm hoping to be off by 8:30 (my scheduled off time) but it looks like I will be getting a lot of new stuff in this week. We will have to just wait and see if I manage getting out of there by 8:30. I will definitely need a nap when I get home as we are thinking about going out for dinner at The Backyard Cafe. YUMMY!
Time to roll!

Another Birthday!

Well yesterday was my 51rst Birthday on Earth! Didn't really do anything spectacular but it was a beautiful day weather wise. Scott got me another HD card for my camera so I can fill another one up with photos. I really need to print some pictures off and do some scrap-booking.
I made another beaded wind-chime/sun catcher for an online friend that lives in Myrtle Beach. I really loved how this one turned out.
